How to Register

Create Your Account
Click Register Now and create your student account using your email address and password.

Pay the Registration Fee
Complete the ₹200 registration fee through the secure payment gateway.
Your payment status will be updated on your Student Dashboard.

Submit Your Essay
Choose one essay prompt from your category and upload your completed essay through the Student Dashboard.

Important: Each student is allowed only one essay submission. Once submitted, your essay cannot be replaced or resubmitted.

Complete Your Registration
After logging in, complete your form with your personal and academic details. Select the category that applies to your age:

  • Observer — 14–16 years

  • Explorer — 16–19 years

  • Pioneer — 19–21 years

You will also need to upload a valid KYC document.

Access Your Essay Prompt
Once your payment is confirmed, your assigned category and essay prompts will become available on your Student Dashboard.

06

Submission Complete
After successfully submitting your essay, your submission will be locked. You can return to your Student Dashboard to view your submission status.

Competition Categories

Category 1: Observer

Ages 14–16 | Grades IX - X

Word Count: 1200 words

Essay Topics (Choose Any One):
1. "Should wealthy countries be allowed to pay poorer countries to reduce their carbon emissions? Is this a fair deal or a new form of inequality?",

 


 

2. "Fast food chains like McDonald's and KFC now operate in almost every country. Is this good for local economies, or does it come at a cost?",

 

3. "Some countries have banned their citizens from buying foreign goods to protect local industries. Is this a smart economic policy, or does it do more harm than good?"

Category 2: Explorer

Ages 16-19 | Grades XI - XII

Word Count: 1500 words

Essay Topics (Choose Any One):

1. “The gig economy — Uber, Swiggy, Deliveroo, Fiverr has created millions of jobs globally. But is flexible work actually good for workers, or has it simply transferred risk from firms to individuals?",

 

2. "The countries that benefited most from globalisation in the 20th century are the same ones closing their borders in the 21st. With reference to economic theory and current events, evaluate this claim.",

3. "Central banks across the world raised interest rates aggressively after 2022 to fight inflation. Did they make the right call, or did they prioritise price stability at the expense of economic growth and employment?"

Category 3: Pioneer

Ages 19-21 | Undergraduates

Word Count: 2000 words

Essay Topics (Choose Any One):
1. "The Washington Consensus was not a failed experiment — it was simply applied to the wrong countries at the wrong time. Critically evaluate.",

 

2. "Quantitative easing helped stabilise financial markets after 2008 and 2020 — but it may also have entrenched wealth inequality in a way that conventional fiscal policy cannot fix. Assess this argument with reference to economic theory and evidence.",

 

3. "Artificial intelligence will not cause unemployment — it will simply shift the frontier of what human labour is for. Using economic theory and historical analogies, evaluate whether this optimism is justified."
